Edoardo Liberati and team-mates Alexandre Imperatori and Josh Burdon charged to a superb top ten finish during the second round of the GT World Challenge Europe at the Nürburgring over the weekend, 5th/6th September.
Making their Endurance Cup series debut, the KCMG trio recovered from 24th position over 48 entrants to finish eight. Sharing driving duties in a brand-new Porsche 911 GT3 R, the Rome-based racer, Imperatori and Burdon took a magnificent result, continuing their preparation to the Total 24 Hours of Spa scheduled late next month.
“I really enjoyed the race. It has beed a great weekend. The car was brilliant, despite it was the first time we used the Pirelli tires. We didn’t test them well because of rain”, said 27-year-old Liberati. “I am hugely satisfied as it was our first race in the GT World Challenge Europe Championship. We all have done an excellent job, looking forward the 24 Hours of Spa”.
Only one week before the Belgian race, Liberati and KCMG team will enter the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, that will be held from 24th to 27th September at the Nordschleife circuit, in Germany.
