Edoardo Liberati endedthe preparation forthe 24 Hours of Nürburgring scheduled on 3/6 June as he competed last weekend in the ADAC Qualification Race at the Nordschleife track.
The Italian racing driver, sharing the KCMG Porsche 911 GT3 R with team-mates Josh Burdon, Marco Holzer and Alexandre Imperatori, secured a top-10 finish over a total of 83 cars, 30 in his class.
After setting the eight quickest time in the qualifying, the quartet of the Hong Kong’s squad claimed the 15th position in the superpole session open to the best 30 cars.
Liberati completed a regular stint, driving one hour and 30 minutes to finish in tenth position.
“We still have some work to do, but we’re quite satisfied. Comparing the previous NLS races we struggle with tyres due to the higher temperature”,Liberati commented.
The Green Hell challenge will follow after a one-month break as the 49th edition of 24H Nürbugring will be held.

KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) secured a top 10 finish in the six-hour ADAC Qualification Race, the team’s last race outing at the Nordschleife before the Nürburgring 24 Hours in June.
The Hong-Kong based squad, fielding Alexandre Imperatori, Josh Burdon, Edoardo Liberati and Marco Holzer, put in a solid performance in its final preparations for the 24 Hours, with less than a month to go until the headline event on the legendary 25-kilometre circuit.
For the first time in 2021, the four drivers raced together as a quartet at the Green Hell, gaining more valuable experience and data ahead of the world’s toughest endurance event. After Burdon qualified the #18 Porsche 911 GT3 R in 15th and took the start on his first race outing of the year with KCMG, smooth running throughout the afternoon for the Australian and his team-mates brought them up the order.
Utilising some excellent work in the pit lane during fierce battles with other cars on-track, Imperatori took the chequered flag in 10th.
The team will now make its final preparations during the three-week break before the start of the Nürburgring 24 Hours on 3-6 June.
ALEXANDRE IMPERATORI
“The last rehearsal before the N24 is now behind us, we had a solid weekend with many positives and a top 10 finish to show for it. Now we need to analyse the areas where we can still extract more performance to be 100% ready next month. A big thanks to the team who did a flawless job.”
EDOARDO LIBERATI
“We collected a lot of data this weekend as it was the first time we ran at the Nürburgring in these warmer conditions. We learnt a lot about the car and the tyres and we’re now ready to focus on the N24 next month.”
JOSH BURDON
“It was a solid weekend during the six-hour ADAC Qualification Race. We have homework to do during the next three weeks to be exactly where we want to be before the main event. Thanks to the team for all their hard work, I’m looking forward to the N24.”
MARCO HOLZER
“The final on-track preparations for the Nürburgring 24 Hours are done. We had some great battles during the six-hour Qualifying Race and picked up a good result. Thank you to everyone at KCMG for their super job all weekend long, I can’t wait to be back next month.”
MATT HOWSON TEAM MANAGER
“It was important to have a solid result at the six-hour ADAC Qualification Race and the top 10 finish was a reward for all the hard work from the team and drivers. We showed real flashes of speed throughout the weekend and even though we have more work to do, we have a strong foundation as we head towards the N24 in just under a month.”
PAUL IP KCMG FOUNDER
“I’m pleased with the performance of the team and the drivers this weekend in their final preparation for next month’s Nürburgring 24 Hours. Everyone put in a big effort and they deserved that top 10 finish. We’ve been working really hard to be ready for the N24 and I believe we’re in a good position to take on the main event on 3-6 June.”
