Edoardo Liberati set for the Nürburgring 24 Hours

Edoardo Liberati is set for his third consecutive 24H Nürburgring, the second for him with a KCMGPorsche 911 GT3 R carshowing this week a brand-new livery.

The 28-year-old Rome-based racing driver faces the “Green Hell” at the Nordschleife circuit, completing a high-level crew formed by Australian Josh Burdon, German Marco Holzer and Swiss Alexandre Imperatori, all of them with several experiences at the Eifel track.

Almost one month ago the quartet claimed a top-10 finish over 83 cars in the Qualifying Race. It makes everyone very optimistic despite the weather forecast, as the rain could change conditions.

We went very well in the wet testing“, Liberati commented. “All in all we all are confident. After the top-10 in the Qualifying Race we further improved a lot of things. We’re ready to make a clear race and to finish it, maybe on the podium.

Both in 2019 – driving a Hong Kong outfit’s Nissan, and last year Liberati was not so lucky, having been forced to stop. But the 49th edition of one of the most famous races could be the right one. In terms of preparation the team worked well and the 2016 GT Asia champion has great expectations.

The 24H Nürburgring gets underway today with the first two qualifying sessions that will continue tomorrow, followed by the Top Qualifying. A one-hour warm-up is scheduled on Sunday morning before the race start at 15.30 sharp.
