Porsche Sports Cup China got its 2022 season underway at the Ningbo International Circuit, with an incredible amount of Porsche enthusiasts and cars gathered for the first event of the year.
Ningbo was flooded with Porsche road and race cars as the weekend began, with programmes catering for drivers of all skill levels. The all-electric Porsche Taycan made its first appearance in the series with dedicated Introduction to Race Track sessions, while the one and three-lap Time Trial events attracted plenty of entries.
The competitive Porsche Sprint Challenge China provided the most advanced drivers with the opportunity to take on their fellow competitors in two 30-minute races. SilverRocket Racing’s Lichao Han claimed victory in the first race of the season, with David Szu and Jianfeng Zeng completing an all Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport podium.
In Sunday’s race, Hangcheng Liu and Absolute Racing took the win in the Porsche 911 GT3 R, with Szu claiming his second P2 finish of the weekend.
