SERKET Racing driver and owner Mark Llano will set up camp this week at Sebring International Raceway for the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida, March 12-14.
Llano will be back behind the wheel of his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup competing in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama series. Fans can expect a few changes from the team this year. Llano will compete in the ultra-competitive Gold Cup Championship and Gold Cup Masters Championship. The No. 24 Porsche has also received a facelift, including a brand-new livery with the MultiCam pattern and an American flag that runs the length of the vehicle’s roof.
SERKET Racing will offer a special photo opportunity to Sebring fans. Throughout the race weekend, fans can take their picture with the car and a mannequin suited in tactical gear. Signed hero cards also will be available. The setup will be stationed in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship paddock outside the NGT Motorsport transporters.
United States Marine Corps veteran Llano is not quite a racing veteran but is no longer a rookie driver, either. Having a year under his belt in racing, Florida native resident Llano feels prepared for the new season.
“We are very excited for the upcoming season,” Llano said. “We’ve been to Sebring before, and we’re well aware that it is the most physically demanding track in the series. But our team was dedicated to putting in some long hours in the offseason, and I’m confident we’re up for the challenge.”
The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama qualifies at 8:45 a.m. (ET) Thursday, March 13, with Race One following later in the day at 3:05 p.m. Race Two begins at 8:55 a.m. Friday, March 14.
