Magnus Racing Looks For Renewed Form At Sebring

With the 62nd Annual Mobile 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring just days away, Magnus Racing will take the green flag on Saturday in search of improved form following the most recent race at Daytona.

“It’s no secret that Daytona wasn’t up to our usual standards, but we’re well prepared to improve on that this weekend,” stated Magnus Racing team owner John Potter. “We had a very productive test here a couple of weeks ago and we’re as prepared as we’ve ever been. I’m looking forward to it.”

Drivers John Potter, Andy Lally, and Marco Seefried will head to the track having set times during testing that were right in the mix with the top teams. With the 12-hour race serving as the second longest event in the season, attrition and consistency will be at a premium, something the team is ready for.

For Andy Lally, who has surprisingly never taken victory at the famed race, the fight for the win is firm on his mind.

“This is definitely high on the list for me,” stated Lally. “I’ve had some great races here in the past and it’s a track like no other, but we’ve always come up just short of victory. We definitely have the team to do it this weekend, we just need everything to fall into place.”

Making his debut with the team, Marco Seefried will round out the lineup looking to do one better than his podium at the circuit last year.

“Last year was a great fight and one that I’ll remember for a long time,” stated the German. “With Magnus, I feel confident we’ll be in contention to win. Everyone here works very hard and based on the test I know we’re a very capable team.”

With FOX Sports 1 covering the first three hours of the event, and IMSA.com providing the remaining nine, the team opted to move away from their usual antics seen during their pit side webcast, however, they will be providing continuous, in-race video updates on the race happenings. With a notoriously Magnus-branded flavor, the videos will be released progressively on the team’s website and social media.

Magnus Racing will continue to provide updates and coverage throughout the week via their Facebook (facebook.com/RacingMagnus) and Twitter (@MagnusRacing), as well as via www.magnusracing.com. You can also follow Andy Lally on Twitter (@AndyLally)
