Hardpoint Motorsports Running Multiple Championships at Petit Le Mans

Hardpoint Motorsports will have another full weekend with two drivers in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama at VIRginia International Raceway over the weekend with one driver also competing in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.

Rob Ferriol will continue piloting the No. 5 Moorespeed/GridRival Porsche GT3 while also running his third race in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, driving the No. 18 Moorespeed/GridRival Audi R8 LMS GT4 alongside Spencer Pumpelly. Randal Bryant will be back with TPC Racing behind the wheel of the No. 15 St. Thomas Cycleboats Porsche GT3.

Ferriol and Bryant kicked off their weekend this afternoon in the Porsche GT3 Cup category with their first practice. Practice 2 will run at 8 a.m. EDT on Thursday morning with Qualifying at 12:05 p.m. EDT. The first race of the weekend will take place later that day at 5:30 p.m. EDT. Race Two is set for 10:10 a.m. EDT on Friday.

Rob Ferriol – Driver of the No. 5 Porsche GT3

“It’s always bittersweet when IMSA descends on Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in October. On the one hand, it’s the culmination of an entire season’s worth of work on and off the track – but on the other, it means we’re finished racing for the year. No more early paddock mornings, no more fans, and no more fighting it out on track for a spot on the podium. That said, I couldn’t be more excited to step off the plane for one last triple-header weekend with the No. 18 Moorespeed Audi R8 GT4 and the No. 5 Moorespeed GT3 Porsche Cup. We’ve fought a good fight this year in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama, and we’ve shown we have what it takes in Michelin Pilot Challenge, so we’re looking forward to putting our best foot forward once again and finishing the season on a high note.”

Randal Bryant – Driver of the No. 15 Porsche GT3

“Looking forward to racing at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Practice last week went well, and I believe we have a good set up. I have to qualify well and allow myself the opportunity to compete on the start. I can’t believe the season is wrapping up. It has been a great first-year experience in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama. The series and competition have been fantastic. Could haven’t met my expectations any better. I certainly recommend the series to anyone that is wanting to take their racing experience to a new level. IMSA is a top-notch race organization, and Yokohama has been a great partner. Hopefully, I can find a way onto the podium in the season finale.”
